No Time for Celebration

This past week televisions have been flooded with scenes of crowds across the United States cheering the killing of Osama Bin Laden. However, it is nearly ten years after 9/11 and Osama was never charged with the crime. There will be no trial. No evidence of his guilt. No attempt to get to the truth.
 
We are expected to accept the government’s word that he was killed as described with no proof of any kind. This while they immediately destroy any evidence and change their story of what happened daily.
 
The effects of 9/11 remain, regardless of what actually happened with Bin Laden. Our troops and foreign innocents continue to die in needless, unjustified and immoral wars. Our country is going bankrupt pursuing a militaristic foreign policy. Our civil liberties are being systematically stripped away.  Will any of this improve with the death of Bin Laden?
 
This is certainly no time for celebration. Instead of mindlessly following establishment propaganda, people should seriously question the war-crazed media and contemplate the wisdom and morality of our continued post-9/11 policy.
 
Real cause for celebration will come when our society once again respects the value of human life and passionately strives for peace and truth.

In December 2001 Osama Bin Laden was seriously ill in a Dubai hospital. He may have been poisoned, as some think Yasser Arafat was.
I find it doubtful to think he lived/lasted another 10 years, and I find the Americans' triumphalism dubious as well.

Serious questions remain on the killing of Bin Laden, and well qualified persons, such as Dr. Steve Pieczenik MD, PhD contend, like on 9/11 we have been had again by our govertment. Piecznik was told long ago by a US General they haad Bin Ladens body (he died of kidney disease) and were waiting for the right time to more or less use it to an advantage. In intervews and articles online, Pieczenik is absolutely livid on the USG's lies, and indicated if the proper investigation with subpoena power, he would reveal who the man is.
